![]() I would guess that the driver will come out soon. So why should they rush to get me a driver for my old hardware, when they can hope that I buy new hardware? I consider third-party driver sites to be cesspools of malware, but the Xonar got me to use a non-OEM driver. ![]() My Asus Xonar Essence sound card is to good to give up on, and Asus already has a newer version out that has Win10 support. I use a third-party driver for one piece of my hardware. When I run Windows 10 I do something that I have never, ever done before. A lot of older hardware will never have Win10 drivers written for it. It's only good business for them to pay attention first to what they will be selling with Win10 on it, then what they are still selling, then older models. Keep in mind that these companies have a lot of different kinds of hardware out there. The only alternative would be for Microsoft to hold up the release to allow manufacturers to write and test drivers. ![]() Windows 10 seems to be a particularly bad example of this, with a lot of 3rd parties not having Win10 drivers up on the release date. Well, the hardware is compatible with Windows 10. ![]()
